Montrose Community

The Montrose area and the people living in it have created a community that is unified against hate. Although, harmful acts against the LGBTQ community have always occured, it was not until the 1990s that they have created this unification. They have done so through the founding of the Montrose Center and the Montrose Rememberance Garden. Through these acts of solidarity, the people of Montrose have shown that they are strong and willing to fight for what they believe in and for who they are. Additionally, they have set an example for the many communties experiencing the same struggles.
