This manifest lists 22 enslaved people who were boarded onto a steamship named Galveston which was captained by John T. Wright. These people were claimed as chattel property by a Samuel Mills of Texas. They embarked from New Orleans to Galveston on February 9, 1846. Below is a transcription of the names of bondspeople listed on the manifest:

George, a 25 year old man who stood 5' 10" tall and was identified by his enslavers as Black
Charles, a 30 year old man who stood 5' 5" tall and was identified by his enslavers as Black
Armstead, a 50 year old man who stood 5' 9" tall and was identified by his enslavers as Black
Tonny, a 40 year old man who stood 6' tall and was identified as Black
Harrison, a 30 year old man who stood 5' 5" tall and was identified as Black
Ann, a 28 year old woman who stood 5' 5" tall and was identified as yellow
