Lynne Nguyen was a refugee from Saigon in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States with her mother, father, and two brothers when she was a child. Initially living in upstate New York, her family quickly joined their distant cousins in Houston, where Lynne attended school and eventually went to the University of Houston. Earning a degree in psychology from U of H and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Texas, Lynne delved into a career of healthcare advocacy and education. Founding HOPE clinic and working for MD Anderson Cancer Center, Lynne continues to seek out equitable opportunity for minorities and cultural groups in the scope of healthcare and social justice.
