Meheryar Rivetna was born in Bombay in 1953, to a middle-class family. In India, he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Physics, as well as a Master's Degree in Biochemistry. From a very young age, however, he had an insatiable desire for coming to America. After attempting to immigrate through several avenues, he was finally able to move to the United States in 1977 to St. Louis, Missouri. Following an initial period of difficulty, Mr. Rivetna found employment at the Steak 'n Shake, and eventually held a variety of occupational roles and professions before moving to his current place of residence in Houston in 2001.
