Interview - Sushila Agrawal

Sushila Agrawal was born in 1951 and raised in Delhi, India, in a multigenerational home with family and extended family. Her family ran a trading business. After attending college in Delhi to study British literature, she moved to Houston, Texas, to be with her husband, with whom she had an arranged marriage when she was twenty years old. She had four children and was highly involved in their schools throughout their childhoods. She played an informal but integral role in her husband’s successful business and has served as a member of the Asia Society’s Asian art subcommittee, a board member of the India House Houston, and a trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
